Here’s a link to an excellent recent activity guide and downloadable seasonal poster set: The Indigenous NH Harvest Calendar. It was created by a team including the NH Indigenous Collaborative Collective, the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook-Abenaki People, and NH Farm to School. It was brought to the web for the general public by NH Farm to School.
There’s such a banquet of information assembled here. The Indigenous Calendar materials include natural history and cultural insights, lesson suggestions, and recipes I was grateful to be able to craft most of the watercolor illustrations that became part of this project. I hope that you’ll access these materials and the accompanying four seasons posters at the website listed below. Ideally, you’ll find that they will be a useful resource for you and / or the folks that you are teaching!
